I actually don't own a lot of Murano but of course this is my favorite colour so I like this one!
So now antiquerose and Icollectglass are casting doubts on my calling it Murano which is OK!
They are working hard for me helping find out what it is - thanks guys!
*****UPDATE******
One of my glass FB groups showed a piece the same as this but in neodymium glass.
It has a sticker "Viartec THF Made in Spain" so now I am happy to attribute this glass to that manufacturer.
I have found no information about this company to date.
Height 260mm (10in)
May the hand reach out to you in thanks...

Neat...........
I would not have guessed Murano with the arms/fingers like that. I would have thought Chalet Glass, Lorraine Glass, AltaGlass, or even Chantili Glass which are Canadian Glass.
Not sure if Viking glass did something like this or not ??
Live and learn.........Sure would have fooled me LOL
Hey Rose I really am not totally sure this IS Murano. The only ID I was given was from the seller who had a huge (100s!) collection of Murano bowls and he was sure it was. I know that is not a proper ID, but I have not seen anything like it elsewhere.
When I checked other makers the important thing I noticed was they were all clear cased. I did find some similar Muran IDed pieces but they were red.
I'm happy if you can direct me elsewhere!
Hi......Yeah, maybe try Deborah here at Chalet Art Glass and just see what she says IF she has any idea, or thinks it is Canadian? Never hurts to ask....

.....OR you can join this forum to and see what they think/feel there. I belong there too.

Worth a shot -- as this kinda confuses me, but then I sometimes AM confused a lot........LOL
I don't know who made it but quite beautiful , the shape and color !
the base looks Murano but the leaves...arm...whatever they be called look thinner than Murano do...and quite stunning too...I've seen a lot of Murano but there is too much of the stuff to even guess...it would surely be very early...
Thanks Mani and Anne and Rose.
I'll agree that I'm not really sure who made it but that it is very appealing!
Hi, I did find something similar here -- BUT grain of salt as it does NOT have a sticker on it. So I just hate to say for sure as anyone can say anything about what a piece of glass may/may not be.
Anyways, try those above links I mentioned for an ID. In the meantime I did find this, but no label -- so still a ????

Hi icollectglass -- I am a member there too, and I am pretty sure this piece posted here is not Murano Glass IMHO.
See this post:

Maybe it's......Japanese!
No in all seriousness I am happy to have suggestions.
The Altaglass post looks close Rose but I'm not sure about the colour and the arms aren't quite right...but it's certainly on the list.
I know 0.0000 about Tiffin so can't disagree Icollect!
See update.
This is from Spain by Viartec THF.
Thanks Cindb! Fantastic isn't it.
I love your description "alien fingers"...That's exactly what I would imagine they would look like! LOL! This is really nice, great color.
Cool, thanks Sue!
Yeah *##*@@ predictive text!
So WHEW....See your Update at top. So confirm Not Murano Glass.....
I think ALTAGLASS ( Canada ) also made some things like this too. ( OH NO, here we go again.....LOL )

.....and see this piece here ( **something similar** ) with a AltaGlass label ( scroll down ):

Just something to keep aware of for Shapes and stuff like this -- That is all.
;-)
Thanks for the revisit and the links.
I have a poor copy of a photo here with the Viartec labelled one and I am pretty sure they are the same. I remember there had been some discussion in the group about THF Viartec and even the Spanish collectors knew little about the company apart from the fact they are now defunct.
Pity, it's great glass.
Oh your mostly likely correct on the ID -- but just wanted to point out the other one to keep in the back of a person mind.......since your over-the-pond from me.....LOL
Just met a Canadian Aussie here the other day -- They been here for 5 years and Love it. Just stay in when it cold they said.....and NO real weird bugs here....LOL
Hi Karen, did you see that I found out the swan was by Viartec as well?
