7up calendar 1960/1970 still in plastic package, psychedelic

I found this calendar at a garage sale. It's still in a sealed plastic bag. There are dials that turn to change the month and day of the week and the butterfly would be moved to indicate the date. The butterfly is loose but could be glued back on but I've been afraid to take it out of it's packaging in case this is something special. I think it is made out of plastic. I paid a dollar for it, the price sticker didn't come all the way off when I tried to peel it. Anyone know anything about these? I am clueless.
