Here is the 4th posting from a group I just bought from a collector overseas. It consist of mostly Welz pieces, but there are a few "unknown" and a few Kralik pieces.

This is an awesome vase, I have never seen this décor combination before....has great color and shape. We will call it an "unknown" for now, but It reminds me of WELZ...the spatter and style of décor. But no hard evidence that it is Welz production. Measures 8" tall by 4" wide.

    Unsolved Mystery

I think I saw oxblood spatter from underside on Kralik and Welz pieces, my guess for this one would be Welz, but that is just a guess. Congrats on a new decor, it always is very exciting.

      4 welz markers
1 foot is consistent with welz shape
2 the color of oxblood in the confetti was used in the custard pieces/confetti pull-ups
3 the line pattern (that created ridges or lines) can be seen from the inside looking out. The optic lines produced by that mold remind me of pleated pieces (line pieces)
4 the custard base color appears to match marked custard pieces
5 the color of the spiral rod; put it next to violet line and dot pieces... It might be a match

Very good points Jericho....I was leaning...now I'm falling....

hey Thomas, does point 5 make sense? does the color match?
    14. jagsrock95 jagsrock95, 11 years ago
Jericho...yes, I would say its a very close match.

    16. jagsrock95 jagsrock95, 11 years ago
You can never say for sure...but based on what I see and Jericho's points...I am calling it Welz.
