These are photos of a mahogany back board that attaches the back upper half of our dinging room buffet. The origional set came with a 10ft table that closes up to a round pedastal table, 2 chairs, 2 captain, buffet, china cabinet, and smaller buffet display cabinet. My question is when would this date to and would it be american made. It is of solid mahogany and after refinishing off the browning paint like stain tha twas once applied (not the origional finish) the true solid mohogany was reveled - carving marks surround the carving showing that it was carved entirly from the board and not applied as most carving are. The tiny detail is stunning. The lower door panels to the left and right have a full urn panel carved from a single piece of mahogany then inserted behind into the oval opening. The piece was sold as being from around 1910, 1920? it almost looks ealier as with the fine handcarved craftsmanship. 90% of all the pieces are solid mahogany, veneers only in the curved areas of the drawers. Any idea as to the company who made the set, or the era ---- any iformation would be appreciated
