I am not sure what year it is from. I think it's brass and has wooden ball.
There are not markings. It's about 6" tall. I found it at a flea market. It's pretty unique (at least to me).

Phil heard my call & I pointed him your way.
You are all amazing!! Thank you.
Guys and gals, my friend just told me it isn't a hood ornament. He thinks it was part of a bell and made of bronze. Because the ball on top is wood, it couldn't be a hood ornament plus if you flick it, it makes a bell sound!!
Now I wonder what this bell went to?? It prob should be moved out of the hood ornament column.
Robinlip, I had the feeling that it wasn't a car mascot too. Now, we just have to figure out what it is. We can eliminate a lot of things like fossils, Amer. Indian etc.
I'm pretty sure it's not a potato! Kidding aside, it's a really neat piece!
Robinlip, you can edit the entry, just click edit on the left side of the page under add to collection. Now where to put it, that's a whole other question!
