Not a Coca-Cola sign lol, antique tin Mohawk tires sign, in very good condition. Made in the U.S.A. this company is a popular company in my area, I wish this sign had the Indian head logo on it, but happy with the sign as is. It was sitting in a barn for years, so the boarder has taken some serious damage from the damp conditions. Managed to clean this sign up pretty good, was very very dusty and barn fresh before lol. Was wondering if anyone knew more info on this sign. Pretty sure it was made in 1965, but thats about all I know.
I'm not even sure if this sign was made in 1965, I did some research on it I guess it was made from the 1940's to the 1950's, has possible date on bottom right corner MCA - 965. I thought this would be a good sign to have in my area, I live right beside a Native reserve, also the nearest college in my area is Mohawk college. I figure it would be an easy sign to sell, problem I ran into with it, I started to like it too much to sell lol. I went to Mohawk College myself so this sign reminds me of my two years I spent in college, fun times lol.
Nice sign! I saw Frank on American Pickers buy one of these.
Right on, I watch that show all the time, but cant remember that eps. Do you remember what he was willing to pay for his, and what you thought he could sell it for? I already got an offer on my sign, but I turned it down because I dont wanna sell it.
I cant remember what Frank paid for sure but I think under $200, I wouldn't sell it for less than $300 myself, $400 is my estimate.
Thanks EJW-54
