This was an unexpected surprise ! The first piece which I posted as an "Unsolved Mystery", almost a year to the day since joining CW finally has an identity. A CW member "art.pottery" had been browsing online images for their research came across pictures of my vase. He seemed fairly certain that this is an early Pfaltzgraff piece from an art pottery line they produced very briefly in the 30's until possibly the early 40's before switching production to mostly dinnerware. I had another person mention the same thing on one of the Ebay forums so I'm fairly certain this is now correct. Kind of a nice present to celebrate my one year anniversary on CW ! -Mike-
very beautiful!!
Thanks Sean and icollectglass ....... it's surprising how much time has gone by and the stuff I've accumulated .... lol It's all been worth it though, since I have all my friends here on CW to share it with ! -Mike-
i sent a link to a friend of mine who is one of the younger generation pfaltzgraff kids. he may know about it, or he may refer me to an expert in the ware. i'll let you know when i hear back.
Thanks ho2cultcha :) .... this has been one of the most mysterious and curious pieces I've ever bought. It's been sitting in my closet tucked away for the past year without much thought. It will be great to see what your friend has to say ! -Mike-

Thanks for all your posts Mike AND getting my sense of humour!
Isn't CW awesome. All these clever and knowledgeable people and I have never felt demeaned for not knowing something or making the wrong claim.
You're welcome :)..... Yes, I feel the same way and always willing to learn from my mistakes too !
Seriously? Only a year? Feels like we've known you here for longer...well that's the way with like minds. :)). Congrats two ways!
Thanks Amber :) Yep May of last year. Coming up on my 570th post ! Too much stuff. :P

Well I think yours are much better Sean, but thanks for the compliment !
your very welcome Mike!! and Thankyou :)
Understand that Mike. I am in the middle of the Randolph Street Market unloading as I promise to do to my hubby as to avoid a lot of fights. Surprisingly only one piece really got to me. Wish I'd kept it. But it doesn't match...shaking it off now...got another day of the release program.
Nice! Have some beautiful posts. Have missed out on a lot.
