    I bought out a storage about 5 years ago found this old bayonet/knife dagger don't know which one,blade measure about 7" with handle about 13" long,very sharp,has aluminum handle,on the hilt is,"property of" now I was told it could be an old Wells Fargo knife but I believe it's military,has an old leather scabbard,hope someone can help me id this item.

      Aluminium dates to to more of a recent production & not the "old west".

      Thanks,but I figured military,someone told me it might be wells fargo,when a magnet is put on handle in some places it will stick so I'm kind of confused,any idea what time period

      It's an interesting knife. DEon't recall seeing the aluminum handle before.

      The magnet is being attracted to the blade tang in the areas where it is closer to the surface. Have to admit, this knife has my curiosity up. The screw heads & threaded hole in the end of the grip are strange.
