This light ribbed orange tango vase has thickly applied fused applied leaves at the rim appearing like an abstract flower. It is petite but perfectly-formed (base defect bubble notwithstanding) 18cm.
Nice Ian,
I see so many of these on ebay and just can't see the sun for the clouds. So many similar and many companies tried or made them.
What did you look for? What attracted you to this one, if you don't mind me asking?

I tend to learn from here and from other websites and contacts.
And try to keep them as wide-ranging as possible.
I know what you mean, Anne, as a fellow beginner, about sun for clouds (or wood-forest for trees, which might be my preferred proverb). We don't see *so* many of these in the UK, there *seem* to be differences in what is available on each side of "the pond"?...
More specifically for this one, it goes with 2 others I have. I *think* both are posted here on my profile. One is an orange tango blue "teardrops" rim, and one is a red tango bowl with applied blue leaves and foot.
I am afraid, as I said to a friend of mine today, I am a stamp collector - so I have to have a "set" or a "year" or a "period" - one or two won't do.
I suspect I am not the only one.
When another friend asked if all could be traded for one "mega piece" - (as well as doubting it might be possible) my answer was, "Why?".
I'm hearing you there Ian!
Lol...I get it...and now I know why too, I was a stamp collector when a child and you're so right...I never realised that it had such a great impact on me in my adult life?..
:-) I suspect there are others nodding in agreement! Anyone else been told they, "Have a bit of a vase thing starting to go on."? Or had a friend ask if there is a suitable vase, before realising the folly of their social nicety?
I had to go and buy a plain Mikasa vase the other day because my crappy 1990's clear vase was getting over worked...I cannot put flower in any of my vases, Wedgwood -obvious Doulton stoneware - obvious...tango, doesnt hold bunches, cranberry same...its embarrassing to say I had no vases for 2nde ,3rd, 4th bunches...lol...they said, "you're kidding".
