Only purchased this yesterday because i have not seen another one like this in all my 45 years of collecting, and i hope someone can enlighten me on this one. Stunning quality Mahogany and plated cocktail shaker in the form of a bottle , height is about 15 inches( 40 cm ) impressed marks on base, ridgeway Plate Made in England, Reg no 825163 and number below 5825 . One and three quarter pint. The interior fittings are also plated , outstanding quality , the dealer wanted $100, but only charged me $75, i think this was great value. Can anyone tell me if they have seen or have a similar one?
I'm guessing it's Savid. Hi.
Do you think it was used as a horse riding aconpaniment. . Or part of a picnic set or a cocktail mixer in a Bentley bar in the back seat area?
When we lived in London we saw so many hunting accessories in silver and this just reminds me.of them. Ridgeway we have some of their vegetable dishes but they mad 30s transferware and don't recollect that they did anything in silver.
I know it's silver plate but are there any hallmarks.probably doubtful as they didn't assay plate, did they?
Good luck..btw, those Murano lights are beautiful, absolutely gorgeous. I'm going to try and get over to the new place hopefully that weekend on the way to the MCG. Cheers Anne
Sorry David not David..I struggle with the iPad in here..lol...
Hello Anne, would be great to see you on saturday, come and say hello
1938-is the date code for this registration number----- 825231 Found This on English registry marks, so far no one has seen a similar cocktail shaker, could this one be a prototype that did not go into production?
