14" long brass, handle fixed, free swivelling end with intermediate winder. Looks Victorian finely made assume ironmongery of some description. Found in an old house.

Does the adjustable leg on this have a point or where one could be mounted?
Not obviously.

Casement window winder?
I can't see the picture close but I think they are antique trammels on a fixed beam.
Those square-cut threads aren't easy to make or cheap, so this was an expensive tool. That requires a lock-in automatic feed lathe.
Thanks for all the responses so far. Don't think it is a window winder as there are no fixing points. The photo is upside down so it's just sitting on the surface. Trying to figure out if something goes through the unusual shaped hole in the swivelling end. Any ideas?

Your steel tool with the brass handles and swivel, I have one almost the same, except the steel stem goes through the brass swivel end and touches the back of the pointed end of the swivel. Are you any closer to finding out what the item was originally intended for? My father died in August and I found it amongst his things, I have no idea what it is?
