A beautiful vase that looks like raindrops to me!
Made from colourless pressed glass it has been made in an elliptical shape. Covered in bumps that grow in size toward the middle of the vase.
It has a "birdbath" type base, but my feeling is this is not Czech, more likely German or Scandi. The bumps exist even inside the birdbath. Slight mould lines along the edges, hot finished rim, ground around the base.
Height 140mm (5.5in) width 160mm (6.25in)
*******Identification Update*******
This vase has been identified by AGalWithGlass as being designed by Jan Sylwester Drost for Zabkowice Household Glass Works where he was head designer.
This Asteroid series was made in many forms and was an award winning design.
For more information on Jan Drost and his talented wife Eryka see here:

Thank you so much
for the identification AGalWithGlass!!
Thanks again Ken!
Would like a bit of dew here! Weird weather in Sydney...hot today 28c for what is nearly the last day of autumn, and everything is very dry! I think we are getting a winter totally inverse to the one that northern America experienced.
I think this is magnificent.....wonderful example of what can be achieved with pressed glass.
Thanks Sklo and I must agree!
It is a very well designed and made vase. As with a lot of glass the reality exceeds the image, great shape, great texture, great optics.
I'll get to researching it more when my work calms down!
I love this piece. Thanks for posting!
Thanks very much Raewynn!
Thank you very much for identifying this for me.
I was not aware of this designer before which shows a big hole in my knowledge.
I have been reading up on him and his wife and obviously they are powerhouses of Polish design.
Again thank you!
