      If it could talk it would say "buy the relic, NOT the story"!

      Looks to be a US Army Air Corps ring from the WW2 era. Made by "Robbins Co." out of Attleboro Mass.

      Glad to hear that-- usually the bs stories are used to justify an inflated price on the item!

      Because of the condition, the value is silver scrap.
