Went to the annual Christie Lake antique show, and had a pretty good time. Hard to find good deal but came home with couple signs to add to my collection. Got myself this AM 1951 Coca-Cola flange, really glad I got it, had people telling me how nice it was the rest the day I was at the show. I also managed to get myself a Canada Dry flange. Its made by STMS but the date is unreadable (rusted away). was wondering if anyone can help me date the Canada Dry sign? I have not seen one before, but just had to have it lol. I like Canada Dry, I drink it when I got the flu, its gotten me through some rough times lol.
Thanks fifties50s, Dave, Trey, and Cocacola22
You were lucky to snag the arciform flange Trev. They came up on eBay but are not easy to acquire at a reasonable price.
Thanks Dave, I have seen the arcirform flanges on ebay pretty often, but 9/10 times its a repo, then when you manged to find a true original it can get pretty pricey with soo many bidders. I finally found one for sale in Canada, made an offer the seller was happy with, so now i'm the proud owner of this flange. It looks even better in person, im really glad I got it. I still gotta post the other sweet signs I was able to get in the past couple weeks.
Nice signs but Coke sign is 60's isn't it ?
These flanges were produced until the 1960's, managed to find a really early one 1951. Coke change the slogan on the later versions, you will see some say sign of good taste, instead of enjoy that refreshing new feeling. I meant to take of picture of my flange showing the date, but one of my other signs is blocking the view. I will upload better pic. when I get a chance
Happy to see the coke flange found a nice home!
