I purchased this cannon at auction last weekend and I would love some help identifying it. It has no markings, but I love the intricate detail in this cannon.

Did you buy it as an original or a modern reproduction?
You probably can't trace a modern repro. They are fun conversation pieces.
I purchased it as a vintage/antique item, from an estate with a military collector. I purchased WWI helmets and jackets, a black powder gun or other military collectibles. I guess I assumed it was not modern.
Typical cast carriage tourist re-pop but has more detail that most. Is the barrel brass or just plated/painted brass? Poste the gun at least. You get great responses on antique guns here.
The barrel appears to be brass. It is a heavy piece. I will see about getting pictures of the gun for show and tell tomorrow. I am already in bed, I am sorry.
Try a magnet on the barrel to see if it is ferrous. No matter how we look at it, it's still a tourist repro.
Concur with others-- modern decorator piece.
