Hi, I have this item listed, but more importantly, we were wanting some definitive dating on the whole I love NY motto, design etc. It was a tremendous thrift store find and we thus far only found a Fidel Castro picture holding a similar t-shirt we guess from the mid 70's although the caption with the picture mistakenly guessed the dating to be "80's or 90's".
For one consideration, Castro is muuuuch younger in this picture plus, the design is no where to found online, which is antithetical to the ubiquitous modern design of this motto/slogan. again, any definitive information or quality links would be appreciated.

This must be the original or one of the original designs from the 1970s!!
Notice that it :
1. has a 1970s Hanes tag
2. is not copywritten
3. has an unfamiliar logo which suggests that it predates the extremely common design that is seen millions of times world wide.
SUPER COOL graphic screams vintage goodness
Size on tag quite faintly reads "M" (please read actual measurements for clarity)
Overall nice condition with couple faint spots
