This is a rich blue milk glass plate about 7 1/2 " across. I do not know maker but am very curious about the pattern on the outside edge. I thought it was fleur de lys but it has some extra points that does not match any images I have found. I am very fond of the blue milk glass and would like to have a little more history on this piece. My wife found this in a quaint little antique shop locally.
    Thanks in advance for infor.

This plate is referred to as "Dart Border" and no manufacturer has been identified. I collect old milk glass plates and have this one with a painted decor in the center, which is very unusual for this pattern. This is the first one I have seen in blue. It is quite old, dating to the turn of the 20th century.

MilkGlassDiva, thank you for your response. I have this plate in white milkglass as well and love them both. The shop where we purchased the blue one has another one in white as well. It too has a painted scene in the center of it. I will be going back today with the hope of bringing it home with me! Diva, thank you again!
