A simple cut to clear vase in purple...
I recently saw another one with exactly the same shape, but blue, and it was only striped all the way to the top (no oval "dots" like this one has).

czechman - thank you, thank you!!! I'm very happy for your comments! I'll take your advice and buy the books...! These books, along with many others, were on my wishlist for a long time. My budget is very small, and I always "waste" it on buying glass, instead of books about glass...

I think it looks like the maker has been influenced by the style of Otto Prutcher's works. I really like the idea of using traditional style and craftmanship, and yet creating something "modern"...
