My grandfather worked for Yale and Towne .We had many items he saved but this one is a mystery.
The lock and its instructions are in a leather pouch .It is small enough to fit in a vest pocket .
on the metal lock it has Yale and owne Stamford Ct on one side
and bank lock on the flip side
It's a multiple screw driver. Colt used to make them also.

do you mean that it is a screw driver for the bank vault?
Maybe it's something else but sure looks like one of those pocket tools. Colt wasn't the only company that passed them out as adverts.

Are you sure? the The Yale paper made me doubt but it sure looked like the multi "common screwdrivers" I've seen.

I pick locks & thought the same thing but still trying to figure out what that piece of paper depicts? Don't get things wrong. When I was going thru aviation school, my neighbour was a locksmith & taught me. Pilots habitually lock planes when they park them & rather than chase-down a key, I can "pop" those simple locks faster than the pilot can pull the key out of his pocket. Saves a lot of time! I carry lock-picks in my "line-bag".
