When I first saw this I was looking at a nice Chinese lacquer box. So when I opened it and saw all the flatware inside I thought " ugh more stainless junk " but I checked the marking on the forks and spoons. Rogers Sterling IS "Bridal Veil" ! I thought the forks and spoons had the white mellow cast of silver but I just wasn't sure until I saw the marks. The knives on the other hand don't seem as impressive. The blades say "stainless" on them. but I'm not sure about the handles. They seem hollow and a bit light. Maybe the handles are sterling or plated hollow ware. I'm not very good at judging silver. The box holds eight knives which are all there in the lid. There are only four each of the forks and spoons. I assume this was a service for eight. Not sure if this is valuable as I see a lot being stacked on scales and sold as scrap on Ebay. -Mike-
