I believe this to be an Art Deco club chair "Tuxedo" style with original light green velvet fabric. I know almost nothing about antiques, and bought this yesterday from a young college student who had to empty her apartment before moving across country. Price, including delivery, was $40. I simply love it! It has a small tear on one of the arms that I am hoping to mend with some matching thread. I wonder what the velvet is made of and I wonder where it was made. I don't see anything underneath to identify it. I love it because it is so springy and comfy to sit in. There are springs in the cushion and also the base. I love the beautiful carved wood, too. I need to find something to clean it with. I found tons of stuff when I vacuumed under the cushion: a CD, a roll of paper towels, 2 pennies, bobbypins, and three joints. What a find!
