One more unidentified vase!
It has a spiralling shape decorated with seashells...
There is no mark to help me find out where it could come from!

This vase just grabs me! Wonderful shape and glaze.
racer4four - thank you so much for your comment!! :) I'm very happy that the vase "speaks" to you!! (That's maybe a bit of a clumsy translation from Swedish.. maybe in english it would be "appeals"...!)
aghcollect, nutsabotas6, Phil, SEAN68, Radegrunder, surfdub66, vetraio50, Virginia.vintage, racer4four and austrohungaro - many thanks for loving it!!!
English
"Appeals" is more correct but "speaks" is stronger and would be understood by most people and is very often used among dealers and collectors.
Your vase
I'm 99% sure its Oriental but only 65% sure it's Japanese.
The colour was used in in China as well as Japan but tends to be paler in China.
However I don't recall seeing one with applied seashells before.
The basic form is called a "double gourd" but the twist is unusual and also makes me lean more towards Japanese.
I love it.
stunning vase a s well!!
vetrissimo - Wow!!! Thank you, thank you!! I had no idea it was oriental, and that it could be Japanese is a big surprise to me!
SEAN68 - many thanks!!!
And many thanks for the love Moonstonelover!!
