These beautiful Clarice Cliff sugar shakers (not cruet as I understand, although one may first assume that they are a salt & pepper set) are decorated with scenes of a happy childhood - playing with toys.
Try as I might, I can't seem to find any reference to their manufacture. If anyone could help me out, I'd be extremely grateful.
Ive never seen this pattern on clarice cliff before .. I love them conical shaped designs ,
royal Stafford? very beautiful!!
Rarities indeed!
very nice : ) According to ClariceCliff.com that back stamp was used early to mid 1930s.
Arthur J Wilkinson of Burslem. Cliff starting working there at age 17. Here’s a link to the Wilkinson’s marks from thepotteries.org, a great resource for all things Staffordshire

Thank you for your comments.
These are well known fakes carrying counterfeit backstamps. They therefore cannot be legally sold. You will find further examples of these fakes on The Clarice Cliff Collectors Club Facebook page in the fakes and counterfeits album here
