Can anyone help me identify these objects. They are made of brass and could possibly be measures of some kind. I have had these for years and never known what they are. Would love to know.

Obviously 1,2,3,4. Do the thicknesses vary in that scale. Never seen feeler gauges shaped like this.
    2. tissick, 11 years ago
It's difficult to tell because they are old and worn, but I would say they are all the same thickness.

The 1,2,3,4 is obviously a clue, maybe some sort of scoring indicators for a game?
    4. blunderbuss2 blunderbuss2, 11 years ago
You might be on the right trail Gracay if it isn't a feeler gauge.

Didn't think of games could be a new line of investigation!

Well, I certainly don't have any better ideas right now! Left by aliens to confuse us?

      Alien feeler gauges?

These brass tags are likely from a gunter's (surveyor's) chain.
