This is a change tray made by Brunhoff mfg. it has part of a 3 digits of a patent which helped determine that was a change tray instead of a ashtray. It advertises Barrister cigars made by Celestino and Costello I believe it is from the year 1905. I did some reading about Celestino and costello company and found out that they had a labor strike at one of their Barrister factory's and were forced to hire women and children to continue making them for less pay. A inside union worker eventually exposed the company in 1907. Brunhoff mfg was in cincinatti ohio. mr Brunhoff had several inventions. Since the full patent number is not legible I'm going to classify this unsolved to see about getting my research confirmed.
Sorry the pick is upside down
I know an artist in Montego Bay who might be able to read it as he paints upside down.
