This is my first post here, great site. I have just acquired this. It is small,
2 3/4" or 70mm tall so it could be a salt. Bought as Venetian mid 19th Century. Any information would be appreciated.

Hello and welcome to CW...could you change one of your photos and add one of the base...it speaks volumes to those who may be able to help you!...:-)
Looks good to me.....welcome on board!! RER(BOB)
Yeaghee!..another from this side of the world...:-)
Thank you everyone. Still working my way around this site. Inky, I can see edit but not sure how to replace one of the photos with one of the base.
Go into edit and then just delete one of your photos and you should be able then to add another one then...:-)
Very pretty amd welcome to CW !
Too easy when you know how, thank you Inky, love some of your postings. Thanks for the welcome Manikin. Looks like I am going to enjoy this site. Sooooo much eye candy.
It always is when! you know how...:-)))...if you want to place one of the others so it shows when people are are browsing through the main page, which may be a better eye catcher...just pick up the one you want and place it over the first one...hope this helps!...:-)
Thanks again Inky, it did not want to drag and replace, maybe because I am on an iPad. But found deleting and adding again replaced it. Any tips on protocol and using etc always welcome.
Whatever it is, it is pretty. Might want to put it on a white background, I think it would show up better. (You can tell I have been taking photos of glass all day! LOL!) Welcome to the group. Lots of good information here.
Thank you Parkerhouse, it is hard to take photos sometimes to get a clear shot or no reflections. Will have to practice.
Ladysalt, I bet I have taken 300 shots today, just to get 4 or 5 that I liked. It takes practice and time. :)
Welcome - enjoy the learning - I have learnt a huge amount from the brains on here.
Thanks Ian, it looks like a nice site, and you are right. So much knowledge ????
Sorry Ian for the question marks. should have been a thumbs up
Gorgeous!!!!! And glad you joined CW; it is fun! And lots of help too!
