Hi I am trying to find out about this doll please ,she plays a very spooky tune haunting even just really want to know about her had her for over 20 years was bought for me . She don't seem to have numbers or mark's of maker on her .
Hard to tell who made her , she has no out standing features that can direct me to ID her . I will say she was likely new 20 years ago . She is not a Antique doll . These types of dolls were sold via catalog fliers and mail ads most often and would have had company name on box . Is that her original dress ?

Did you see the one exactly like yours someone posted yesterday and yes she is in same dress :-) I can only tell she dates from late 1970's 1980's at earliest , the other one posted did not have a box either so that doesn't tell us who made these . She might be playing Swan Lake on her music box . Sorry I can not give you exact company that sold these ,they may have been imported . They had to have been sold in US as dolls made out of US are required to be marked with country of origin name Or she just had a paper label on bottom of shoe which I have seen and it comes off or is taken off . These types of dolls that took the style of Antique Bisque dolls were often sold as collectors dolls not so much as a toy . Hope this all helps a bit anyway :-)

Hi Manikin I managed to find another one on a different doll site, like mine hard as know origin on here ,she is saying her doll same as mine and other one on here was a vintage doll. she is selling her for 100 our money I don't want to sell mine only wanted to know where she came from , Mine don't play swan lake it's some sort of lullaby Would like to thank you for answering my post.

I found your doll and maker , I thought eyes were similar to dolls made in Japan

Thank you so much lady's that made me happy knowing where she comes from only differences mines don't have leather shoes she had like suede and the turner on her back different but maybe owner before me changed her turner she did have the bonnet but i lost it ,As says wasn't wanting to sell her only wanted to know how old and her maker..Thanks again Manikin really grateful for your help

well lady in american has told me that doll on link says our wind up is fixed on and looks different and nothing like the one that appears with the doll on link also ours are little rarer than that one shown an link . our also don't have leather shoes as i says ours had suede . oh gosh think might have to keep looking if i can copy her link i will show her doll same as mine but she has the wee bonnet and shame shoes as mine had on ....
I would say we are maybe on same maker but not a 100 per cent that's my doll and things wrong with mine and the one you gave me on link and the other ladys who has the very same one as myself ours look a lot older than one that's on link you sent to me thank you anyway i have clicked its solved and will keep looking to find out more about her x

On this one doll is wearing suede shoes just like yours . I enlarged photo and she is exact same .

I clicked onto the site, but the doll shown listed looks a later one, than mine, but does have the same with open fixed eyes etc. Going from this mine must be an earlier make.
