This was sitting in the lake house of a friend in VT for as long as she can remember. This would be more than 60 years. She doesn't know how it got to there, or who the Mrs. L. Bradley might be. A it was time to clean out the house the trunk got some attention and I will try to give it a new life. Any advice or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Really nice zinc trunk -- to clean the zinc you can use fine steel wool and lemon juice... I took a lemon to mine, gave it a go over and then steel wooled it -- cleaned up nice! Wherever the zinc on the front does not quite edge up to I would simply do a touch up of a matching paint color... no one will ever notice. Nice 1880's find!
