Paul Raoul de Facheux D'Humy left France and came to England where he established his Aurora Glass Co. in London. He hired Venetian glass workers who produce glass decorated with gold foil. He gave several examples to the British Museum in 1878. Examples of his work are rare.
This vase is ruby red with clear glass fish legs and border decoration.
An exact example of this vase is in the collection of the Bristol Blue Glass Museum : www.museum.bristolblueglass.com
