Nice small dessert dish or nut bowl designed by Lennart Andersson.
I believe it is part of the Snoddas range designed in 1952.
Made of a colour I call Gullaskruf Blue it is a wonderful shape and has twisted fine ribs on the outside of the bowl.
Height 9cm (3.75in) and width 10cm (4in)
With it I have one of my little Gullaskruf vases.
Apparently Kjell Blomberg designed these and they are made of the blackest glass I think I have seen.
This is the larger of the vases at 7cm (2.75in).
The other is identical in shape but is tiny at 5.5cm (2.1in).
These are really nice Karen:) I love Danish modern glass from this period. I have a couple pieces somewhere in my menagerie.
Thanks very much Mike.
I couldn't find my photo with both the vases but heck, they look the same anyway!
Dig your stuff up sometime. Everyone here loves glass no matter what!
Thank you Inky!
Found the photos of the 2 littlies!
is that a bodum teapot under the vases? I have that as well!! beautiful gullaskruf!! :)
I can't help myself, Gullaskruf glasbruk was in Sweden, not Denmark. Sorry...
I'll pass that on to Mike for you Elisabeth! lol
Thanks Sean!
Good Bodum spotting! It's actually a cake container and lid but it is the perfect height upside down for placing things for photographs, and if I need to I slip an LED inside it.
