Approximately 21 x 13 1/2 inches in the frame. 24 x 16 1/2 including frame. It was bought by my father from the Bair sisters Marguerite and Alberta in Billings, Montana back in the 1940’s and framed at that time. According to my father, the newspaper had been in the attic for decades folded according to the sisters. I have had it since 1989 when my mother passed. I just want to know whether or not it is real because I know there have been a lot of duplicates over the years produced.

Hope it's real as it needs to be preserved & in a collector's hands. Custer showed true military stupidity once again. I read where he ordered his men to make 4 suicidal charges during the War Of Northern Aggression, was condemned for each & the army wanted to ditch him. His self admiration kept him pushing for staying in at a reduced rank on the frontier & a shame those men died because of his arrogance & stupidity. He was a lieu. colonel when he died & not a general.

If you can date it to the 1940s, I think there is a good likelihood that the newspaper is original. I think most repros date to more recent times. It's worth showing to someone who's knowledgeable about antique paper.

One thing I would recommend though - replace that 1940s glass with modern museum glass. The new stuff provides UV protection from fading and deterioration. Then put some acid-free paper between the newspaper and whatever backing is in the frame to further keep it from deterioration.
