Here is a very cool U.S. Army helmet which was brought back by the soldier when his tour of duty was over. The helmet is the standard M-1 model, and on it is a 1968 dated Mitchell style cammo helmet cover with original wartime grafitti. The soldier was from Texas, and penned many phrases on the cover, which includes the time he served, denoted by the months and year, landing zones, In God I Trust, Why Me? possible nickname ACE, and for him the most important date, March 23, 1969, the day he left Vietnam.
