    I would love any information about this fire, I think it's American but cannot find a makers mark. It has doors but wondered if they were added on and it is an open fire, although it has a side door which confuses me!

      Based on the hardware I would say it is a reproduction probably made around 1980's in Taiwan or similar place. The side door was there for loading. The fronts had doors and a screen. I would say it is an un gasketed unit which makes it very, very dangerous to use. The doors with drop pin hinges were done that way so you could remove them, use the screen and watch the fire.

      I just stumbled across your posting. I think what you have is the same stove which I queried about today. Could you let me know if yours looks like this when all the bits are in place?
