On the dial: "Made by the Sessions Clock Co., Forestville, Conn. USA"
11" x 18" x 5 3/4"
Lion heads on the sides, each holding a metal ring in its mouth. Delicate geometric lines decorating the black enamel around the face and between the front legs. No other marks or dates, so the age is a bit of a mystery. Have seen a few similar models from the 1920's, but with larger classical columns rather than gothic arches.
Strikes the appropriate hour with a deep soft "gong", and a single chime on the half-hour.
Bruce 99 has identified this as a Sessions "Manhattan" clock, ca 1921, most likely with replacement hands. (See the original post in the Mantel Clock section.)
