800 Silver Virgin Mary Pendant or Brooch

This is a piece I recently had someone take a look at. I originally thought I would use this item for braided hair, for mourning jewelry, but never did anything with that. The setting is signed 800. The top does not appear to be glass. The jeweler said the inside picture may be alabaster? I am not sure I agree. I am looking for a better site than eBay to list it. Any suggestions? It measures 1 1/4" long.
