Beatiful vase "Volga", marbled red glass with gold flower handpainting.
C 1889-1899
This vase is fabulous because of this color marbled showing the veins of this stone. The red got many reflections clear and dark. The painting is also beautiful: the gold is very shiny and go well with the red.
I think this serie was showing at the Exposition Universelle of Paris of 1889 where the stand of Legras showed lots of red glass vases.
I bought it for 15 euros. This one is one of my favorites :)

vraiment dommage pour tes laliques ... mais minimes, les eclats ont du faire peur aux acheteurs...
