Grant Crest Tempo Sugar & Creamer

This atomic style sugar and creamer was made by Salem China for W.T. Grant in 1961. This is a softer, more rounded pastel version of the iconic Franciscan Starburst. Most likely this pattern was a grocery store giveaway. There are very few serving pieces (sugar, creamer, vegetable bowl, platter and gravy boat), unlike most patterns. Still, I find this pattern much more desirable than the way more popular Starburst design.
