    Just purchased today from a thrift store. There are no markings on it, but seems to be fairly old. I love the beautiful lines of this rocker.

      This is unusual in design. The double arm rest with scrolling below.
      Just curious, does it have 2-sided caning on both the seat and back? I have a similar piece and am interested in knowing more about it as well. On mine, there are no markings. (ie Thonet branding etc.)

      I have almost the same chair.It was my great great great Grandmothers and she came from Germany.My chair has canning on all 3 panels and is single sided caned.My parents had the chair recaned around late 1950s while Dad was in the Air Force.I can send photos if someone can help with imfo and value.

      I have a chair like this that I have had since 1978 when I had my daughter...a gift from my parents to rock her, from a warehouse in SF...I was going to just give it away but wonder if it might be considered vintage and worth.
