    I've never seen a statue of Saint George and the Dragon in a Catholic church before. i think it may be unusual. too bad it's not in as good shape as the others. and here's a photo of my whole 'Santuario'.

      He's very interesting ho2cultcha.These are great finds It could be St. Michael the Archangel with Satan (serpent or dragon) under foot. He might be missing his lance or sword as well.

      What a great find ! They are all able to be restored and very collectible . Love the whole grouping on display :-))

      thank you mikelv85 and Manikin! they are pretty interesting. i've seen quite a bit of restored chalkware out there and none of these are in that terrible condition. i think w/ a little of the right paint, they could be made to look new again.

      a mexican friend told me that the face of St. Jude is worn off because it is considered good luck to touch his face.
