I would be interested in knowing what this symbol means, it is very heavy mounted in a wooden plaque on the the back ther are two signitures dates April 1908 the other is dated 1910 Yale

This is probably something from/for a college fraternity or sorority. The three symbols in the middle are letters in Greek which would stand for/represent a fraternity or sorority at a University like Yale. Probably would be of significant collectable value to the specific chapter at Yale or nationally. Hope this helps....
Beta Theta Pi it is. Apparently they lost their chapter at Yale in 2007. Below also is a link for the national organization. The bottom part I believe is written in Latin underneath the Greek lettering.
