1894 German Painting with Mother-of-Pearl inlay

All I know is that my grandmother purchased this picture in Germany and brought it back with her. She was just eighteen, right out of high school , visiting her aunts and uncles. It is something she cherrished and something I also cherrish. It's a gentle scene and even the mat has been decorated.
