WMF Ikora & Myra Glass, by Carlo Burschel and Heinz Scheiffele shows us that not all Myra-Technik glass is golden, or even solid colored. This example is a vivid purple at the top, and crystal clear at the bottom. The shape is an early one, shown in the line drawings that pre-date the first published catalogues in 1928.

Learn something new every day. I thought all Myra vases were gold iridescent.

Frank, they all start out crystal clear, and depending on the combination of stains/firing/vapor reduction and the chemicals used, they came up with red, blue, purple, even green (and shades in between). They also did one-off pieces (called unikat). The gold iridescent is by far the most common, though.

Beautiful Bohemianglassandmore. Thanks for the comment on how its made, very interesting. Like Loetzbubbles I'd only seen the gold iridescent amber glass.
