Hi he is cute door stop . He appears to be a reproduction . Can you show seams where he is put together and any screws you see ?

From that photo I would have to agree with Mani.
Hi sorry I did not get back sooner but the dog does not have any screws just a seam-so hes original
we had him yearssssssssssss
These cast iron items need screws to hold them together ? Either flat head or Phillips ?? Does his neck turn or is head separate from body hard to tell by photo ?
Not a Hubley.
not sure
his head does not turn you can see the line under his belly so its cast a fine seam as if he was sliced
All of the originals had screws holding them together, some had one screw and some had two screws. These have been reproduced since the 50's so one may have had one for years.
Detailed photos would help but on a few of the better repo's they need to be held in person.
If the dog was original it would be two piece with one single flat head screw holding the two pieces together. You have a modern reproduction which is useful and fun but not terribly valuable. Take a moment to go on a Hubley collector's site and you will quickly get educated.
Hubley did make some with two screws as well as a rather rare one that is facing to the left.
They did indeed have some two screw pieces but they were more common after the Hubley molds were sold. I am on the wrong computer or I could tell you when the molds were sold and who they were sold to. I am old and forgetful but I still have a bunch of original Hubley for a rainy day. This piece is..........
fhr is what ??? I do not think it is original Hubley . Poster you could have posted a few more photo's also .
thanks friends
I will get him to take more photos soon
