Don't know much about coins, but don't get your hopes up. I have my opinion, but will wait til the experts jump in rather than make a fool of myself (again).
If the coin weighs 1 ounce, it's still worth spot price for gold. Check out Kevin Lipton's Rare Coins in Beverly Hills, California if you are serious about this piece. Love It!! =)
On the real coins, the eagle didn't eat the flower bud in his mouth...

How can you tell if it's actual gold replica of the real coin?
Because it lacks the proper details of the originals (missing some, other additions) close, but not that close.

TubeAmp- I wasn't very clear. I understand it is not the actual Kellogg coin. Does it have any value as in the metal itself? Thank you to everyone who has commented.
There isn't very much incentive to make this out of real gold. I see discolorations where it has contact with the frame, it's not a good sign of it being real, solid gold. (I don't assume to buy gold by photograph, a pawnshop will test it for free in most cases, just politely ask).
