Does anyone know anything about Bennington? like when this was made? probably 60s or 70s? Why do so many pottery companies make flower pots w/out drainage holes in them? this has always bugged me and makes no sense whatsoever!

David Gil was one of the founders of the Bennington pottery co-op in Vermont, in the late 1940’s, which, I believe he later took over as owner. I believe this mark is a little later, used from the late 70’s -present. Older pieces usually have the “hand’ mark which looks like a fork and the co=op lettering. If you contact them, they could probably tell you the production dates the piece was produced by the model number on the base.
You’re right about the drainage holes though, it is annoying!!
