Another piece of eye candy from Loetz... examples of this surface decor was shown at the Paris Exhibition in 1900...often called the "lava" vase for obvious reasons. These are very uncommon in the marketplace and to find one signed is difficult.
Great piece! PG 377 is usually found in cobalt. I really like this example because it is in Russian Green!
Thanks Deb...while cobalt blue is really beautiful in this decor, it is more common. I'm hoping to find a red ground in this decor...I have only seen one piece at auction in the last 10 years
