Another Geoffrey Baxter design, this is the Nailhead vase pattern 9683 in Kingfisher.
Called the Nailhead because apparently the wooden mould Baxter made was given the texture by hammering nails into it and leaving the heads protruding.
I like that only two sides are textured as the plain sides really help the optics shine.
Height 20cm (8in)
These are beautiful :) ..... I wish my James Hogan "molar" vase would have been in a color instead of clear. Really don't see Whitefriar's in the states very often.
I think Australia was a surprisingly good market for Whitefriars Mike so there is a bit around.
In fact, for the population we seemed to have bought a lot of glass! Scandinavian, Czech and Japanese as well as British!
Thank you Ken! Colour is great I agree and the nailheads just fab!
Thanks everyone for ALL the loves!
I love geoffrey...racer4four...where on earth do you have space for all your beautyful things? Do you live in a mantion? ;)
