Would like to know who sculpted this great terracotta female reclinging nude. The markings are (J.S. K.-U. P. reg 5050/2) any info on the maker would be great. Found this and instantly liked the form. 12" x 10" x 4"

Oh my !! stunning and old as well , when you have numbers impressed into pottery like this , this tells you of its age , im more thinking this coul be from 1860's-1929 in that time frame , but lets see what others say!!
    2. SEAN68 SEAN68, 10 years ago
so Phil , you would say maybe late 1920's because how the numbers are? rule 101.

Time to put the towel over the keyboard again! LOL. Welcome to CW. They aren't all like me. Hey, taking a closer look & you have a winner. Great artist. Proportions seem perfect & well styled. Lucky you.

Not terracotta. When I look at the enlarged pic of her backside, there appears to be a mark or signature incised near the corner. Can you make out what it says?

Hi guys, thanks for all your input, but I added an additional picture of a signature that I had not seen, but art.pottery suggested. See picture above. keep the information coming. Thanks.

Any guesses on the signature? Posted additional pictures after art.pottery suggested seeing one that I had overlooked as I was focused on the markings on the base.
