This set (#7732) was from 1967. Lots of accessories in this set although it did not come with a figure. Almost everything in this set was originally issued with other sets. The exceptions being the rank chevrons, patches above the shirt pockets, and the uniform in the unique turquoise green color. The uniform is otherwise the same as the original Action Soldier. Most of the other pieces were issued with the Australian Jungle Fighter. The M16 is from the Green Beret set and the field telephone original came with the Marine Communication set.
So..Aussie slouch hat?

Another great post ! Who did did not love GI Joe ? Ken was jealous of him when Barbie saw him :-) He has a place in history as the first action figure aka doll that was meant for boys . I think he replaced cowboys and Indians for more real life action . Love all your posts
