I've been meaning to post this for some opinions. I do not know much about these, I believe they are called cameos. Anyway, there were two different ones at the store, I picked this one. The other one was actually prettier, it was sterling. I picked this one because the catch on the back looked older. The other pin had the types that locks, this one was more primitive. Anyone know about these, I am curious. Thanks!

      Love it!!

C-Clasp, yes older.......and could be Gold

I have one and had it tested, and it is Gold. Mine most likely Italian Victorian. Mine also has a rope design and a C-clasp like yours. I think you picked the right one, IMHO

      ....agreed

Also maybe they covered some miles with Immigration back in the day. I think mine was just a treasured item bought with the family when they left Europe to come to Canada.

It was small, easy to take with them and reminded them of the Old country they left. Their Victorian collectibles back in the day

Now I understand WHY I have it in my genes......LOL
